VisualVault was chosen after months of research and demonstrations. We chose VisualVault for many reasons but document imaging was the main scope of our project. Our goal was to remove a massive amount of file cabinets from our building to make room for more office space.
VisualVault is a very attractive piece of software and from the user's point of view, easy to use. It took very little training for most users to be able to search for documents and setup their own advanced searches. Once we implemented VisualVault it took just a few days before other departments wanted access to the database and their own departmental documents to be scanned as well.
Since initial conception we have starting loading daily, weekly and monthly reports into VisualVault instead of printing them. This has saved us money in material, paper and toner but also on postage and direct labor for distributing the reports. This has also reduced wait time of managers receiving their reports by hours and sometimes days.
Don't let me lead you to believe that everything went 100% smoothly with no issues. With any software purchase, in my experience there has and always will be issues. I can accept there are going to be issues but how they are handled is what sets companies apart. Auersoft's tech support has always gotten us back on track in a reasonable time frame. The members of the tech support team have worked with me before and after their normal hours to resolve our issues. They are very knowledgeable about the product they are not manual readers like a lot of tech support I have dealt with. These guys use their own product. In most instances I accessed their on-line database to retrieve files such as user manuals, software download, and product news letters. The tech support team at Auersoft has done a great job getting our database setup and running correctly and resolving any issues that arise.
VisualVault has been one of our company's best software purchases.
